Middlesex Motorcycle Company was founded in 2010 by
Dave and Jeff Acal. The idea was simple: To provide quality, reliable, and most of
all functional motorcycle components. With both Jeff and Dave being avid motorcycle enthusiasts, they became increasingly frustrated with the available aftermarket parts for building custom choppers, bobbers or whatever style of bike happened to tickle their fancy at that particular time. Things like chrome that rusted almost right out of the box, and flimsy metal parts that would break like dried twigs under a work boot caused them to grow weary of the garbage being sold in the aftermarket. So they set out on their version of the American, or should we say Canadian dream.
They started by purchasing WW2 era machine shop equipment with the intent to make parts for their own bikes, but word quickly spread. They were amazed at how many like-minded individuals came to see them. Some came to see the shop, or to remember what made this country great; hard working men and women. Blue collar workers who were manufacturing truly handmade products. Forever here to remind the world of a simpler past, a world built on loyalty, trust and respect. A time when men and women truly cared about what they sold. A time when a simple handshake meant more than all the contracts in the world.
